Rhod Gilbert at The Backyard Comedy Club

For the past 20 years, The Backyard Comedy Club has been one of the most beloved London comedy venues. Located in the East End, comedian Lee Hurst founded the purpose-built comedy venue that has become a platform for the world's biggest comedy stars whilst still supporting the best in upcoming talent.

Alongside their wildly popular weekly shows, aptly named Thursday, Friday and Saturday Night at The Backyard Comedy Club, the venue is home to a large selection of comedy nights that cater for specialities ranging from health to musicals to evenings of unnecessary detail; if you want to laugh about it, The Backyard Comedy Club will have a night that lets you.

The best of the best perform at The Backyard Comedy Club, Russell Howard doesn't believe there's a better comedy club in the world, and in October Rhod Gilbert is performing a special one off charity night with The Comedy Hump to raise funds for the Velindre Cancer Centre. The centre supplies specialist treatment to over 1.5 million people across South East Wales and beyond. Based just outside of Cardiff, every year they treat over 5,000 new referrals and around 50,000 outpatients.

Surely there's no better way to spend an evening then in the presence of a hilarious Welshman raising money for charity? No, we don't think there is either.
