A whole weekend of comedy?! No. Way! Yes. Way!! Yep, you read right, The Actually Rather Good Comedy Festival is back for a seventh year! And it’s not to be missed! It’s an entire weekend of unsolicited comedy fun taking place on the 7th and 8th of July. I mean, is there anything better than a whole weekend of laughter, we think not…
As with previous years they'll be bringing the spirit of the Fringe to East London, filling the labyrinthine Shoreditch Town Hall with the finest comedy talent the world has to offer. Over the weekend there will be forty eight full-length previews with twelve comperes hosting three intimate stages of the very best shows heading up to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The festival runs from midday until 10pm on both the Saturday and Sunday. You can book for one day or the whole weekend and come and go as you please. It’s quite literally your festival to do what you wish with and tailor as you fancy. It’s quite the done thing for people to miss a slot in order to get food, although it’s equally common for hardcore fans to stay from start to finish – it’s your choice!
The festival brings an attentively curated programme of sixty comedians — from big name TV favourites to up-and-coming newcomers. In 2016, ARGComFest became the first major comedy festival to have a gender balanced programme and it continues to champion diversity and representation within comedy. Who wouldn’t want to support that!
There’s tickets for the full weekend as well as Saturday or Sunday day tickets. On top of this, each ticket type comes in super early bird, early bird, or standard varieties — the tickets are cheaper the earlier you buy them so don’t miss out!
